Providing Safe Drinking Water Systems to Communities
NALAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, humanitarian organization dedicated to spreading the gospel by demonstrating God’s love through small and large projects. We are committed to sharing God’s love by giving clean water to one community at a time. Our goal is to provide access to clean water for at least five needy communities in Liberia.
Safe drinking water is a huge problem in Liberia, and NALAA wants to help improve the water system. By giving clean water to communities, it is our intention not just to change lives but make a lasting impact for generations to come.
Access to safe drinking water in rural areas of Liberia is a challenge. Sources of water, when found, is oftentimes either contaminated or dirty. Bodies of water are used for clothes washing, bathing, fishing and drinking. Sometimes drinking from it could result into waterborne diseases such as cholera or diarrhea. In an effort to prevent premature death by preventable diseases, members of the North America Liberia Adventist Association (NALAA) want to provide safe drinking water to at least five communities in two years.
We will also focus on educating villagers on the dangers of drinking contaminated water, providing seminars to help combat sicknesses and diseases in these rural areas. |
